The two variables of most concern when purchasing an online course are price and accreditation. In order to discuss accreditation, we must refer you to the American Council on Education (ACE). ACE is headquartered in Washington, DC and is consistently at the center of federal policy debates concerning higher education. One of the key areas within the ACE organization is the College Credit Recommendation Service (CREDIT).
CREDIT connects learners with colleges and universities by helping them gain access to academic credit for courses taken outside traditional degree programs. Essentially what CREDIT does is evaluate a course and then recommend to a school that the course receive so many hours of credit. Typically, CREDIT recommends 1 to 3 semester hours of credit for a course. Fortunately, all of our courses are recommended for three semester credit hours. The CREDIT course evaluation process is quite intensive and is done by a group of faculty from a variety of universities and colleges. Again, once a course evaluation is complete, ACE recommends to a school that the course receive, typically, 1 to 3 hours of credit.
The source of information with respect to the CREDIT recommendation services is the National Guide to College Credit. When ACE started offering the CREDIT services right after World War II, the courses were primarily military courses. Later, Fortune 500 companies developed courses and sought ACE credit recommendations. Now, ACE course developers may be schools, training companies and the aforementioned military and Fortune 500. Please peruse this directory because you will find that we are the only company offering three semester hour courses that can be completed in 15 to 20 hours. No competitor, school or training company comes close. Time to completion is far and away the most significant benefit offered by our courses.
What the ACE CREDIT means to you is that you must check with your school to see if they accept ACE courses. It would be very rare to find a school that does not, since ACE courses are accepted throughout the nation. But you should check before purchasing one of our courses.
