The purpose of this course is to supply managers with a knowledge of the objectives of accounting and to provide the tools necessary to interpret accounting information. Chapter 1 discusses accounting standards and how they are established. Chapter 2 discusses the basic financial statements and the fundamental accounting equation. Chapter 3 introduces the accounting cycle through a series of exercises. Chapter 4 tackles cash flow analysis. Chapter 5 introduces financial statement analysis. Each chapter concludes with a self-assessment quiz, and the course concludes with a Final Exam.
